Abstract

This thesis is entitled “ AN ANALYSIS MORAL VAULE ON MAIN CHARACTER IN TANAH CITA CIYA MOVIE, One of the most important things that must be considered in watching a movie besides, to understand the plot and the elements in it, the other most important thing is understanding the message and moral value contained in the film. Moral values related to good and bad attitudes which can be used as a basis for behavior to be practiced in life. The purpose of the research ware to investigate moral values in the “Tanah cita cita” movie and analyzed the implemention of moral values in the “Tanah cita cita” movie. This research used descriptive qualitative and this study only focused on analysis of moral value with limits of character education that is humanity, self control and responsible. This research employed the framework of moral values as suggested by Linda and Eyre (1993). The subject of this research is “Tanah cita cita” movie and the object is moral value. In conducting this research, the researcher used documentary technique to collect the data from reading the movie screenplay and watching “Tanah cita cita” movie. In the research analysis two questions, firstly how are found 8 types moral values in “Tanah cita cita” the second is how are the moral value implemented in this movie by taking utterance from dialogue which show the attitude of moral values. The data analysis takes in the website and youtube.
