This thesis aims to know the meaning of the message contained in the expression kada tominaa in the implementation of custom rituals in Tana Toraja namely “Rambu Tuka’ ” and “Rambu Solo’ ”, and how the regeneration process of young people in Tana Toraja in understanding the expression conveyed by older person devolved. This research was carried out in Tana Toraja with informants consisting of various layers of society which is considered to understand and know about Kada Tominaa where the determination of research data is done by non-probability sampling. Method of this research is descriptive qualitative that is by giving explanation and reflection about the meaning contained in kada tominaa and tomina regeneration process in Toraja society. While the analytical technique of this research is a qualitative data analysis by revealing the data from actor Tominaa and some of a person who is a source encountered in the field to provide an overview of the issues discussed. The research results show that every disclosure of Kada-kada Tominaa in the procession of Rambu Solo’ and Rambu Tuka' shows no meaning to be conveyed solely used as a complement to traditional rituals. This research also describes the regeneration of Tominaa which until now has undergone many changes compared to the past. This is not separated from the influence of new religion adopted by the Toraja community in general.
