Abstract
The student expert system is experiencing an important
problem because it can be a triggering factor for increasing and
adjusting student learning during the current pandemic.
Improved learning will make students more active in the
teaching and learning process. This problem student expert
system was developed for SMPN 53 students using the Simple
Additive Weighting method and this student problem expert
system was implemented into a smartphone application based
on the Android Operating System. The advantages of this
system can help SMPN 53 teachers, especially counseling
guidance in dealing with students experiencing problems so
that they can improve and adjust their learning.
