Abstract
This study is conducted to analyze swear words used by the main characters Click movie. There are two questions formulated in this research. The research question are 1) what types of swear words in click movie? 2) what are the function of swear words in Click movie? This study was a qualitative research. The writer applied the discourse analysis. The data used in this study were in spoken languages in the form of dialogue transcription of Click movie. The first step was classifying the dialogues containing swear words used by the main characters. The second step was explain the function of swear words. The finding showed that there were seven types of swear words uttered by the main characters in the movie. They were cursing, blasphemy, obscenity, vulgarity, epithet, insult/slur, and scatology swear word.
