Abstract

Depression is a type of mental disorder that occurs in someone with certain reason or problem. According to Atkinson (1991) depression as a mood disorder characterized by no there is hope and heartbreak, excessive helplessness, unable to make the decision to start something activity, unable to concentrate, lacking the spirit of life, always tense, and attempting suicide . The objectives of this researcher, aim: To find out the causes of depression experienced by Karina Anastasia, and how to overcame them .By using descriptive qualitative methods depression is classified into theories (1) the causes of depression (2) how to combine depression . The causes of depression consist of (1) psychological factors (2) physical factors , while how to combine depression consist of (2)interpersonal therapy (2) pray . The writer uses a qualitative approach to collect data with (1)Opening goggle , Then search for the title of the novel , (2) Downloading the novel , then save it as a soft copy , (3) Redding the Secret Of The Hear novel by Reny Saden , (4) Then understand the contents of the novel . After the data concluded the authors analyzed the data with (1) Reading the Secret Of The Heart , (2) Underlining sentences or dialogue about the causes of psychology depression Karina Anastasia ,after that display the data into table, (3)Underlining the each sentences or dialogue about the causes of physical depression by Karina Anastasia, after that display the data into table , (4) Underlining sentences or dialogue How to Karina Anastasia overcomes Her Depression ,after that display the data into table , (5) Explain the physical and psychological causes depression in Karina Anastasia ,(6)Explain how Karina Anastasia overcome her depression , (7) then concluded . The result of this study are as follow . There are 10 data on causes of depression include in personality and 6 data include in stress . While physical depression is explain in terms of gender and age theories . There is 1 data on how Karina Anastasia overcome her depression which was include in interpersonal therapy and 1 data included in praying.
