Abstract

The emergence of literature in the world of the film is one of the developments in the field of literature that was not initially suspected. Literature can be turned into a movie, as well as films that could turn into a literary work. In the life of the mass media, a merger between two different creativity even regarded as new nuances in the field of entertainment. This can be seen with the advent of films made based on the story in a literary work. The film is a kind of literature that can be accepted as a useful medium to express feelings, thoughts and ideas. Film is also presented in audio visual that makes it interesting to watch. Film communicating information and ideas and the film shows the place and way of life of a person. This study aims to describe the forms of conflict and the causes of and ways of settlement of conflict in the film "The Children of Heaven" by Majid Majidi. Researchers in this case using descriptive qualitative method. In order to provide an explanation of the various conflicts and how to solve it. In the role of the main character and be a picture or a benchmark when the movie explained about a conflict. Conflict between each character in the film that makes the study of the film is interesting to study, as in the film “The Children of Heaven” . The film depicts the conflicts and struggles experienced by a child who had to fight for the little things that a shoes. Data and data sources of this study were taken from the dialog of each scene was then analyzed by type of conflict is the conflict between humans, inner conflicts and conflicts against nature experienced by the main character, namely Ali and Zahra. Main Figures in conflict with the people around him. Ali with a friend at school, a father, a mother and a teacher at the school. Of the three conflicts is obtained that the conflict between humans and inner conflicts experienced by the main character is more dominant. This is because the main character is not easy to live like children their age. Researchers hope the study object was the film is a fun thing to be studied because it has the values of education and entertainment.
